Davao cultural festival in Beijing

MANILA, Philippines - Marco Polo Parkside Hotel general manager Stanley Lau (third from left) leads his Filipino guests to a toast at the opening of the Davao Cultural Festival in Beijing recently. The festival was a project of the Department of Tourism (DOT) with Marco Polo Parkside Hotel Beijing and Cebu Pacific as partners. Leading the guests at the festival’s opening night were DOT Davao Region director Arturo Boncato (not in photo) and chief tourism operations officer Eden David, Cebu Pacific vice president for marketing Candice Iyog, celebrity chef Gene Gonzales, and Consul Donna Rodriguez representing Philippine Ambassador to China Erlinda Basilio. The festival promoted Davao’s culinary delights, music and destinations to the vast China tourism market.
