New Waterfront sales, marketing director named
MANILA, Philippines - Waterfront Hotels and Casinos (WHC) has announced the appointment of Ma. Theresa Fernandez as the hotel chain’s new corporate sales and marketing director.
Fernandez is a seasoned hotelier with almost 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Her expertise in operations and financial control are her assets in joining the Waterfront Hotels and Casinos as the hotel manager for Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao (WIHD) in 2006.
Her key achievements included innovative changes to attain revenue, an above par management of the guest satisfaction index, bold transformation and uplifting the standards of WIHD in all the key result areas.
With a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree, major in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Fernandez started her experience in operations in Switzerland where she also finished her graduate studies in the prestigious Les Roches International Hotel Management School. This led to further senior sales and service positions at several top international hotel chains.
In her new role, Fernandez will be responsible for managing sales and marketing, conventions and events, public image, resource management, staff management, guest assistance, security, sanitation and safety support in the group-wide sales and marketing team across Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino Mactan, Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao, Waterfront Manila Pavilion Hotel & Casino, and G Hotel Manila by Waterfront.
