Brotzeit Day: A celebration of Bavarian cuisine in Manila

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Brotzeit Bier Bar & Restaurant located at Shangri-La Plaza Mall recently celebrated Brotzeit Day, the grand opening of Brotzeit’s 10th outlet in the world.

Brotzeit, with outlets in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, China and Thailand, offers authentic Bavarian cuisine accompanied by world-famous imported Bavarian beers in a chic and contemporary setting.

Guests included Singapore Ambassador VP Hirubalan and his wife, Magic 89.9 DJs Tina Ryan and Carla D, singer-actor Christian Bautista, and representatives of German communities from The German Club, Goethe-Institut Manila and Asian Development Bank, plus members of the media.

If there was one word to describe the night of April 2, it would have to be “Prost!” simply because it was said repeatedly with heartiness, cheer and gusto. Prost is the German word for “Cheers!” and indeed, there was a lot of reason to be cheerful as Brotzeit symbolizes a whole new era of Bavarian food and beer brought right to Manila’s doorstep.

Brotzeit was symbolically opened with a toast led by Ambassador Hirubalan, Malvin Ang and Francis Aswin of Brotzeit Philippines, and Malcolm Chao and Aidan Hay of Brotzeit Singapore. As everyone joined in to raise their glasses and shout “Prost!” the much-awaited Bavarian dinner was served.

Brotzeit is located at 112 Street Level, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Mandaluyong City. For inquiries, call (+63) 2 631-1489 or (+63) 2 668-4635.
