The Strand at One Pacific Place goes Mongolian

Dandi Galvez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The month of March is shaping up to be an exciting one for people who love to eat at One Pacific Place Serviced Residences’ The Strand Café and Restaurant. On offer is a perfect combination from an all-you-can-eat buffet and snacks that go extremely well with the Lenten season.

The Strand Café and Restaurant, located at One Pacific’s ground level, offers a sumptuous buffet lunch of a variety of dishes ranging from Western to Asian cuisine at P499 per person. For this month, the regular buffet includes Mongolian Barbecue at no extra cost.

Diners can now choose their favourite ingredients from sliced raw beef, cooked pork or chicken to fresh vegetables and spices and have them cooked by The Strand’s expert chefs. On top of the Mongolian line-up is the restaurant’s regular buffet menu offering the same variety for its patrons.

One Pacific general manager Bernie Corpus says, “Normally, when you say Mongolian Barbecue, it is separate (from the main buffet). With this, our approach is that it’s incorporated in the regular buffet lunch.” Offering both the regular buffet and Mongolian Barbecue at P499 gives people more reason to try out this value-for-money offer during their lunch breaks. These lunch bowls will overflow as diners can mix in as many ingredients as they want as many times they want.

Another exciting reason to come to The Strand is the snack menu. For Holy Week, diners will rejoice in the pasta and vegetarian sandwich offerings of the restaurant’s Lenten Snack.

“Since March is the month of Lent, we have come up with a Lenten Snack,” Corpus says. “There are two kinds: a line of pastas, and a line of different vegetarian sandwiches. All healthy, no meats. They are not part of the buffet. It’s a separate order if you would like to avail yourself of the merienda. They include a glass of our signature One Pacific Iced Tea. Available anytime.” Pastas are priced at P300, while sandwiches are available for P270 each.

Both special offers are available for a limited time only so it’s best to drop by One Pacific Place to check out what you are missing. Whether it’s filling a bowl with the great flavors of popular Asian cuisine or indulging in a Lenten season treat, The Strand has what you need for an unforgettable dining experience.
