MANILA, Philippines - Tourism students of the Lyceum of the Philippines University-Manila campus bagged the top honors in the recent National Tourism Skills Olympics at the Batangas Convention Center. Lorraine Mae Padilla and Jane Camille Jacinto were proclaimed champions in the Tourism Quiz Bee; Michelle Alegre and Vanessa Castillo topped the poster-making contest; Kevin Yap bagged the silver medal in the Tour Guiding Competition; and Remelyn Cuneta and Danielle Bill Salanio were awarded the silver medal in the Tour Package Proposal category. The students were mentored by Tourism faculty members Sally Limgenco and Enrico Cruzada. LPU-Manila is not only the biggest tourism-HRM school in the country, with about 9,000 students enrolled in its various Tourism and HRM programs, it is also the only internationally accredited university in the country, with its recent status as an International Center of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education.
