- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - From this year’s London Olympics, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and the continued enthusiasm for Will and Kate, there’s always something exciting going on in the fair city of London.

Rich in culture and history, this captivating city continues to enchant and delight travelers from far and wide, thus almost everything associated with it tends to capture people’s attention.

This is why it’s not surprising that Lee Cooper’s big launch last Aug. 29 at the Marriott Hotel ended up being a much-anticipated affair and was graced by local celebrities as well as British Ambassador Stephen Lillie.

An iconic British denim brand, Lee Cooper has been making great fashion for more than a hundred years. Having established a strong presence in 88 countries all over the world, the brand is excited to have finally branched out in the Philippines, which has a thriving retail scene.

With its most popular item being its stylish and well-made denims, Lee Cooper is highly regarded for its ability to come up with great closet staples that are influenced by both classic styles and current trends.

Form and function is always top of mind making Lee Cooper pieces great for everyday wear, fun night-outs, and even travel.

Thanks to fine craftsmanship and great style, Lee Cooper is able to come up with high quality and versatile denims that can easily be mixed and matched with existing items in one’s closet. No matter where you are headed, Lee Cooper pieces can easily make your outfits stand out.

Four hundred guests attended the launch: from media friends to bloggers and stylists — basically anyone who loves great fashion was there to take part in Lee Cooper’s big launch.

From the Lee Cooper Philippines family, headed by president Andrew So and VP Henry Ng, the event was also graced by Lee Cooper Global CEO Andy Dunkley, as well as dignitaries from the British embassy.

Inspired by the colors of the Union Jack, the venue was filled with red, white, and blue; a couple of denim-clad Mini Coopers was also a fun highlight of the evening, which was hosted by Tim Yap.

Another thing that the audience looked forward to during the event was the presentation of Lee Cooper’s brand ambassadors in the Philippines. Comprised of stylish industry insiders, they included artist/restaurateur Nadine Howell, car restorer Alex Isip, brand curator Vince Aldanese, fashion designer Tippi Ocampo, photographer Jay Tablante, makeup artist/fashion model Bianca Valerio, club owner and eventologist GP Reyes, and chef Roland Laudico.

Afterwards, the much-anticipated fashion show presented the latest styles from Lee Cooper’s current collection which includes denim jeans, colored pants, denim shorts, capri, cargo pants and shorts, knits, blouses, wovens, and jackets.
