Bonamine promotes worry-free travel with new campaign

- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - It’s important to make every journey as fun, peaceful, safe and worry-free as possible.

In line with this, Bonamine recently kicked off its “Tuloy ang Biyahe” initiative in its continuing campaign to promote a safe, stable, and dizzy-free experience for travelers.

The event, held at the Sofitel Hotel, coincided with the official announcement that Taisho Pharmaceutical, in partnership with Invida Philippines and Zuellig Pharma, was assuming the mantle of the well-known and well-trusted brand for motion sickness.

The launch reinforced the alliance between Bonamine and the Department of Tourism (DOT), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) and key travel organizations to promote exciting travel destinations and build sensible travel habits among passengers.

According to Manolet Montinola, regional commercial director of Taisho, this was the perfect time to launch the program and renew the partnership, noting a sharp rise in domestic travels due to the success of the DOT’s “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” campaign.

Cleo Nodado, Invida senior brand manager, said the campaign communicates the idea that, no matter what happens, the journey, and the fun, goes on.

DOT Undersecretary for Tourism Services and Regional Operation Maria Victoria Jasmin agreed with this, saying Bonamine helps keep the fun in traveling, especially on long sea voyages or drives along the winding roads of the countryside. She added that avoiding motion sickness itself already ensures a better journey for travelers.

“Our partnership with Bonamine will go a long way,” said Siony Flores, head of the PPA’s public affairs office, hoping that with the alliance between Bonamine and the PPA, seafaring passengers will enjoy a more comfortable, convenient and safe trip.

Part of the partnership agreement was Bonamine’s integration into PPA’s existing “Beyond Basic” advocacy campaign where Taisho and Invida will now provide amenities, information sheets and fans to promote a positive seafaring experience for passengers.

Apart from refreshing its alliance with the travel sector, the launch of “Tuloy ang Biyahe” also includes the reactivation of Bonamine’s Facebook account and the creation of its official website, www.tuloyangiyahe.ph, as interactive platforms providing destination ideas, location maps, calendar of festivities, and helpful tips on how to make travel more fun and worry-free.

With so many travelers and so much time spent traveling, it’s no wonder that the Bonamine phrase “Iwas Biyahilo” rings true and remains entrenched in every traveling Filipino’s consciousness.

For years, Bonamine (meclizone) has been the trusted travel companion one can rely on to address motion sickness, characterized by dizziness, headache, vomiting, and even loss of consciousness.

“(With “Tuloy ang Biyahe,”) Bonamine embarks on a continuing journey with Filipinos all over the nation,” Montinola said. “As the Pinoy spirit of travel and adventure soars higher along with our newfound optimism, we believe that Bonamine is an affordable, practical and essential part of our journey.”
