The Power of Two

MANILA, Philippines - Thunderbird Hotels Asia is now a subsidiary of Thunderbird Resorts, an international property developer of resorts and casinos in Asia and Latin America, listed in the New York Stock Exchange. The contract signing was recently held in its corporate headquarters in Makati City. The new company chairman is Jack Mitchell (seated, second from left) who retains his position as CEO of the mother company Thunderbird Resorts, while Miguel Cerqueda (seated, third from left) is the president (he held the same position at Genesis Hotels and Resorts for 12 years, prior to the merger). Thunderbird Hotels Asia will focus on new partnerships and expansions not only in the Philippines but also in other Asian countries. Currently, the two properties of Thunderbird Resorts in the Philippines are located in Rizal and Poro Point in La Union. Shown during the contract signing are (seated, from left) Atty.
