Sofitel names new resident manager

MANILA, Philippines - Sofitel Philippine Plaza has appointed French-Canadian Carl Gagnon as its new resident manager.

With over 15 years of hotel management experience in the luxury hospitality industry and having served in various key management positions in properties in the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada and Asia, Gagnon brings a wealth of expertise to the daily operations of Sofitel Philippine Plaza, the largest among Sofitel properties around the world.

Gagnon was most recently the resident manager of Sofitel Centara Grand Resort and Villas Hua Hin in Thailand. He also played a pivotal role in the repositioning of the Metropole Hanoi into Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi — one of the most prestigious properties under the Sofitel brand.
