Pilgrimage tour slated to Luminous Cross of Grace
MANILA, Philippines - Spend July 9 with healing priest, Fr. Nelson Osorio, OSJ, on a pilgrimage to the Luminous Cross of Grace in Agdangan, Quezon.
This monstrance-shaped, 120-foot high prayer sanctuary is a testament to what faith in the Lord can achieve. Osorio will lead pilgrims in the reading and reflection at the 14 Stations of the Cross as they ascend the tower. A healing Mass follows.
On the way to Agdangan, stops will be made to two of the province’s beautiful Catholic worship sites — the Minor Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel in Tayabas, one of the country’s oldest and most beautiful church complexes, and the Church of St. Francis of Assisi in Sariaya which houses the miraculous image of the Crucified Christ of Burgos.
A walking tour of Sariaya’s town square, surrounded by beautiful Spanish-era houses and the art-deco town hall, is also in store.
Only 40 pilgrims will be accommodated. Pilgrimage fee is P2,000 per person, inclusive of round-trip land transfers on an air-conditioned tourist bus, lunch at Kamayan sa Palaisdaan in Tayabas, services of a tour director, and Osorio as the spiritual director.
Reservations are now accepted at La Isla Pilipinas Tours Inc., 932-8445, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or 0917-8274518 and 0917-5270606 after office hours.
