Airphil Express Caravan 2011 takes off at Travel Tour Expo
MANILA, Philippines - Frequent flyers and those in search of travel promotions snagged great deals at the Airphil Express booth during the 18th Travel Tour Expo at the SMX Convention Center.
The one-of-a-kind event, organized by the Philippine Travel Agencies (PTA) in cooperation with the Department of Tourism (DOT), saw hundreds of airline companies, tour operators and organizations offering great travel packages, and Airphil Express did not disappoint.
As soon as the doors of the SMX Convention Center opened, travelers made a beeline to the spacious Airphil Express booth where big discounts were up for grabs.
Among those who snapped up great seats were Rose Canta, who scored huge discounts on securing her family tickets to Singapore, and Sandy Javier, who booked a flight to Iloilo.
Canta was among the lucky patrons who will experience Singapore on a P988 ticket (one-way only, valid for Manila to Singapore and Cebu to Singapore flights).
Canta had long wanted to fly her family to Singapore but had budget constraints. Thanks to the generous deals of Airphil Express, her family can now feel the unique Singapore holiday.
Javier, on the other hand, intends to fly to his hometown to visit his ailing mother.
Singapore is currently the only international destination of Airphil Express, but buoyed by the robust travel growth, the airline is expected to expand to key Asian destinations later in the year.
Airphil recently invested in new A320 Airbuses to accommodate the increasing demand of passengers.
Other special airline rates presented during the three-day event included one-way prices of P488 for domestic destinations like Bacolod, Cebu, Iloilo, Tagbilaran, Legazpi, and Kalibo; P688 for Manila to Puerto Princesa and Cebu to Davao; and P888 for Cagayan de Oro, Davao and Zamboanga. Travel period is from June 1 to Nov. 15.
What’s more, Airphil Express has thrown in comforts such as additional seven kilograms for hand-carry and up to 15 kg for check-in luggage. Travelers who booked online will also discover a wealth of features such as seat selector, Web check-in, prepaid baggage and travel insurance.
