New OZ Quadra Smartium seating for Asiana Business Class
MANILA, Philippines - Asiana Airlines (OZ) has refitted the business class seats on its B777-200ER to the OZ Quadra Smartium, becoming the first Korean airline with a zigzagged layout. The seating boasts four benefits: a full flat bed-type seat that reclines 180 degrees; more privacy with space like a small office area with more personal storage, USB ports and power outlets; direct access without disturbing other passengers; and a staggered layout. Movable dining tables allow the passenger to move freely anytime. Separate cocktail tables are located next to each seat. A foldable armrest and movable headrest have also been installed. With the OZ Quadra Smartium, Business Class seats have been reduced from 37 to 24 in this spacious new arrangement. Seat pitch, or the distance between one seat to another, has grown to 15 inches. The OZ Quadra Smartium seats will be provided on US, Europe and Oceania long haul flights. The airline has been investing heavily in providing top cabin services, spending $70 million since 2006 to upgrade services. It installed Audio-Video On Demand systems in all seats for mid- and long-range flights last year.
