'Mabuhay' presents the Philippines' pride

-

MANILA, Philippines - Philippine Airline’s (PAL) Mabuhay magazine commemorates Independence Day in its June issue — the “Philippine Pride.”

On the cover is the Philippine flag emblazoned with photos of our national heroes Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, Emilio Auginaldo and Ninoy Aquino, and other Filipinos who inspire us such as Lea Salonga, Manny Pacquiao, and CNN Hero of the Year 2009 Efren Penaflorida Jr. Side by side with these personalities are national treasures like the Philippine eagle, Mayon Volcano, Chocolate Hills, and the Ifugao Rice Terraces.

Inside, learn more about the Philippines’ world heritage sites, award-winning resorts and spas, the country’s global achievers, musical artists, local cuisine, and handicraft.

In typical Mabuhay magazine’s award-winning style, “Philippine Pride” provides a list of reputable Filipino restaurants like Aristocrat and Cabalen; and good handicraft stores all over the country complete with contact info.

Mabuhay magazine is known for its outstanding photographs, and this special issue is no exception. Well-chosen images are laid out in an attractive and elegant style.

Mabuhay is published by Eastgate Publishing. Its chairman and publisher is Dr. Charles Chante. Jun Ventura is president and CEO.

Eastgate has, so far, garnered 16 international and local awards, including this year’s “Best Aseanta Travel Photo of 2010” award for the Sohoton Caves in Samar.
