Practical creature comforts

- Abby Rebong -

MANILA, Philippines - Local tourists need not worry about finding a practical place to stay in Manila as Park, Bed and Breakfast continues to provide comfortable living spaces, excellent service, and scrumptious food options for a fraction of the normal fee.

Whether it’s to visit relatives, finish work obligations or just enjoy the best of what Manila has to offer, local tourists continue to flock over to the country’s capital no matter what season it may be. Since not all of these tourists would want to stay with relatives each time they go to Manila, especially for short business trips, the Legend Group of Hotels and Resorts’ Park, Bed and Breakfast (PBB) is definitely worth checking out.

Location, location, location

Located at the heart of Pasay City, PBB offers guests easy access to most of Manila’s prime destinations whether for work or pleasure. Since Pasay is known to be the cultural center of Metro Manila, guests need not wander far to visit some of Manila’s most historic and socially important places like the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Coconut Palace, and the Santa Clara Parish Church.

Aside from these, PBB is also proud to be near popular tourist destinations such as the SM Mall of Asia, SMX Convention Center, World Trade Center, Philippine International Convention Center, Folk Arts Theater, Baywalk, and Manila Ocean Park.

And as for those who are visiting Manila for business, the Makati Central Business District is also not that far away. Whichever mode of transportation you choose going around Manila is a cinch if you’re coming from PBB.

Customer service

that go the extra mile

But what else is there to like about Park, Bed and Breakfast? Apart from its strategic location, PBB was able to gain a loyal following for constantly providing good value for money. While it manages to keep its rates low, this hotel is not one to allow the quality of its service to be less than perfect. From its customer care team who handles the guests’ reservations to the employees servicing at the hotel, it’s pretty clear how dedicated the PBB team is in its commitment to give guests a comfortable and enjoyable stay - always.

Great value for money

If this has already piqued your interest in staying at PBB the next time you visit Manila, here’s some info on what you should expect as far as accommodations go. With a total of 75 well-maintained rooms, guests will get to enjoy practical modern comforts such as air-condition, cable TV, mini-bar, Internet connectivity, and private toilet and bath. Each room also comes equipped with a coffee/tea maker, hair dryer, ironing board, telephone, and a daily complimentary newspaper to better ensure that every guest has all of his/her needs met.

Depending on their budget and room preference, PBB guests can choose from the hotel’s single room, family room, and dormitory room. They can also request for non-smoking rooms or those that are equipped with a private garage if they are planning to travel to Manila by car.

A feature not offered by other city hotels in the Pasay area, PBB doesn’t only provide rooms with a private garage but it also offers free carwash and car checkup for hotel guests who will be bringing their own vehicle during their stay.

Other practical services that PBB offers include airport and city transfers, a business center, car rental, currency exchange, massage service, laundry service, room service, safety deposit box, valet parking, and an in-house restaurant, MAGS Diner.

Good eats at PBB

Speaking of PBB’s in-house restaurant, MAGS Diner offers delectable menu options that are similar to the Legend Group’s most popular dishes from its most popular restaurant, Lola Maria’s (located in The Legend Villas).

To make the most of its growing popularity, MAGS Diner recently started offering an eat-all-you-can buffet lunch (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) that is affordable and delicious, and provides a nice sampling of food options. Open to both stay-in guests as well as walk-in customers, MAGS’ buffet lunch changes from day to day and at only P140 net per head, everyone can definitely afford to enjoy the high-quality food options that hotels under the Legend Group have been best known for.

Aside from the eat-all-you-can buffet lunch, MAGS Diner also has a bevy of a la carte dishes and breakfast set meals which are all very affordable.

If you’re still in a bind on where to stay the next time you visit Manila, always remember that Park, Bed and Breakfast offers the best rates in the Pasay City area all year round. From cozy accommodations, a comfortable location, and a host of other services, PBB makes for a great choice for every practical traveler.
