17th Philippine Travel and Tour Expo at MOA
MANILA, Philippines - The 17th Philippine Travel and Tour Expo with the theme “Ready, Jet-set, Go” is on at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. The event, sponsored by the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA), the biggest aggrupation of companies in the tourism industry, ends today.
Two hundred thirty exhibitors in 416 booths and 70,000 visitors are participating in the expo. Of the exhibitors, 39 are travel and tours agencies, 68 hotels and resorts. Thirty two airlines and cruise liners, 19 government, embassies and national tourism offices, 37 travel shops, 14 lifestyle, food and other tourism establishments and allied services.
The Travel and Tour Expo is the marketplace for the best deals, new destinations and expert guidance on where to go. It stimulates new travel, acts as clearing house for new ideas and a base for networking. There are also stores for souvenir items of a regional character.
Adams Express Travel, in booths C13 and C14, is offering huge discounts and new itineraries for those reserve and make a deposit for a tour during the Expo.
The committee in charge is headed Pat Alberto, Jose Clemente III, Annette Feliciano, Marciano Ragaza, John Paul Cabalza, Ma. Bella Cantada, Maucie Cuna, Marlene Jante, Paul So, Raymond Tee and Lulu Velasco with Ched Maglinte as secretariat head.
