Alta Vista de Boracay offers a different side to paradise

-

MANILA, Philippines - The island of Boracay is one year-round island destination that locals and foreigners can hie off to whenever they wish, whether it’s a weekend jaunt or a summer getaway that can only do so much to provide them with respite from the stress of urban life.

Amid this paradise, another gem has emerged as a premier destination to outshine the other resort spots around the island. Alta Vista de Boracay is now the biggest resort on the island, offering 500 rooms within a splendid location that is accessible to not just one, but three beaches: the vibrant White Beach, the Puka Beach, and Punta Bunga near Club Panoly.

Its unique and charming four-hectare hillside location in Barangay Yapak likewise brings a new island experience to guests. The amazing nature views from the elevated location, privacy and exclusivity, and cooler weather all work together to make their stay extra special than the usual Boracay experience. In effect, it’s another facet to the island paradise: the Alta Vista de Boracay experience.

A condotel project by triple A builder and developer DMCI Homes which was completed last year, the resort gradually attracted its own niche of hotel guests, who are seeking the serenity of old Boracay. Operations went full blast after March last year, when all 17 buildings were completed.

To further improve the hotel service, DMCI launched late last year a wholly owned subsidiary, DMCI PDI Hotels Inc., to manage the hotel operations of Alta Vista de Boracay

Reynaldo Salazar, DMCI Homes director for business development and concurrent president of DMCI PDI Hotels, said the company deemed it would be more advantageous for them to operate Alta Vista de Boracay in response to the evolving needs and demands of the tourist market of this popular beach destination.

“There were many enhancements that had to be done in the facility, so we decided to take over and implement them ourselves. Preparatory to that, we started investing in our marketing, launched our new website (www.altavistadeboracay.com.ph), participated in travel marts both local and international, and even sponsored events like the Ms. Earth Pageant as well as MTV Philippines. We want to drumbeat awareness about our project that we have already arrived and ready to serve the tourist who wants more out of their stay in Boracay” he said.

Salazar pointed out that their development presents tourists with the best of both worlds. Detached from the commercial establishments along the more vibrant White Beach, guests here can relax in private solitude and enjoy the essence of the island as a tranquil vacation paradise. But in case they want to see sights or discover the leisure offerings of the island, they can simply request to be ferried to White Beach.

This is all part of the “Alta Vista experience” where guests’ needs are attended to throughout their stay — from the time they land in the airport until they ride the flight back home. All their needs will be accommodated, such as arranging tours and watersports activities.

In anticipation of a growing client base of leisure seekers, DMCI PDI Hotels is also improving the facilities of Alta Vista de Boracay to provide more options and better standards for guests. It has opened additional food and beverage outlets and put in more tourist facilities such as a gym, gameroom, meeting rooms, and other amenities.

Last month, initiatives to become a wellness resort were put in place, including the use of organic soaps and shampoos as standard bathroom fixtures, as well as offering mud baths and natural beauty treatments at their spa. Alta Vista will also vie to become a medical tourism destination, Salazar said.

Alta Vista de Boracay is not only a resort exclusively for seasoned travelers but to the business travelers as well. “We are working on a tie-up with Ecoville Convention Center, which can house as many 3,000 delegates. This is leading to our objective of attracting corporate accounts and the meetings, incentives, conferences and events or MICE market,” Salazar said.

They have likewise started linking up with other resorts in White Beach that can provide access to their guests, and preparing to put up a more exclusive facility on Puka Beach.

As the hotel with the biggest number of rooms on the island, Alta Vista de Boracay is raring to establish its hotel as one of the premier resort hotels in Boracay. Under DMCI PDI Hotels, Salazar said they are challenged to become more competitive and take advantage of their opportunities to prove to the market that they are just as adept at taking care of DMCI Homes residents as the hotel guests of Alta Vista de Boracay.

“I believe that will be our edge as a new company. We have always taken it upon ourselves to treat the residents of our communities as family. With a hotel like Alta Vista de Boracay following that thrust, every guest is sure to feel right at home,” he added.

Alta Vista De Boracay is developed by DMCI Homes and is being managed and operated by DMCI PDI Hotels Inc. For bookings or inquiries, call (632) 403-2672 (BORA) or visit www.altavistadeboracay.com.ph or www.dmcihomes.com.
