'Bhutan: The Last Shangri-La' at Shang Mall
MANILA, Philippines - There’s a place on earth that even the most seasoned travelers consider a privilege to visit. And, although it is voted one of the world’s top travel destinations, very few make it. This is Bhutan, the Land of the Thunder Dragon — The Last Shangri-la.
The exhibit showcases photographs by Patrick Uy, Evelyn Uy, John Tronco, and Philip Santos of the coronation celebrations using the full-frame Nikon D700 & D90 D-SLR digital cameras.
“The coronation celebration was a once-in-a-lifetime event, going around the city and taking images using the Nikon D700 was a breeze,” said Patrick. “Both cameras have 12-megapixel resolution with Nikon Nano crystal zoom lens, produced sharp and vivid images. I was like living in a National Geographic Series — not just watching it.”
The photo exhibition runs until today at the Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Grand Atrium, Level 2. The event is supported by Shangri-la Plaza Mall, Bench, Demex Rattan,Chef Florabel, Rhodiola, Nikon, Coca-Cola, Viva Mineralized Water. Part of the proceeds from the exhibit will benefit the St. Jude Catholic Womens League Medical Clinic, a volunteer medical assistance project providing medical assistance to serving the poor and improving their lives through preventive health care.
