Nowadays, the credit card has become an indispensable partner. But more than just revolutionizing your purchasing power, Metrobank Card Corp. and The Philippine STAR innovate the credit card phenomenon with the DESIGNMYCARD contest.
Starting June 8, readers may join this first DESIGNMYCARD contest by logging on to www.philstar.com.ph and clicking the Metrobank Card’s banner advertisement for the contest rules.
With the theme, “my most memorable photo,” the card design should also come with a 100-word-essay stating why you chose the design. There is no limit to the number of entries that may be submitted until July 20, 2008.
The chance to be one of the eight weekly winners of a CANON DIGITAL CAMERA is open to credit card and non-credit card holders of Metrobank Card. The prizes may be claimed at the Philippine STAR office.
Metrobank Card Corp. president Tony Maughan says the DESIGNMYCARD is a celebration of Filipino creativity. “We see how creative Filipinos can be, whether it be images of loved ones or images of their artworks. And what better way to celebrate that artistry than to put it in the best way we can as a credit card company – but than in the credit card themselves.”
He notes that the DESIGNMAYCARD is now a regular feature of the Metrobank Credit Cards. “DESIGNMYCARD is one of the many product innovations of Metrobank Card Corp. to better serve our current and future card holders. Through the many discussions we’ve had with our customers, many have always sought something more personalized, something closer to them. And this feature answers just that. How more personalized can it get than by giving our customers option to design their own card,” Maughan says.
“The feedback has been very positive since we introduced DESIGNMYCARD this year. We find that our clients feel more attached to their cards because there’s a part of them inscribed on it, more than just their name,” he adds.
