What is the best part of a SuperStar Leo cruise?
September 15, 2002 | 12:00am
Pops Fernandez: The chance to experience a cruise with my children. The adventure of being on a ship and going to different places. Being with a group of friends from different fields and getting to know them better.
Doris Magsaysay Ho: Being with good friends on a great cruise ship, eating Hainanese chicken, seeing the marvelous Filipino staff smile, following the organizer Keren Pascual the best shepherd ever listening to Pops Fernandez and Anton San Diego and Tessa Valdes marvel the guests foreigners and Filipinos alike!
Gina Lopez: I loved the camaraderie, the entertainment, the uninhibitedness and gameness of the participants. Everyone was just so nice and pleasant to be with.
Albert Martinez: Our Asian cruise was made memorable by the friends we had with us. The easy camaraderie gave everyone a sense of belonging. For me, it doesnt matter where you travel as long as youre in the company of people with whom you can be yourself. All in all it was a good chance for Liezl and me to put our feet up and unwind, relax and soak it all up.
Liezl Martinez: The best part of our cruise would have to be the facilities on board the Super Star Leo that were made available to us. There was so much to do and see in so little time. It afforded us the escape and relaxation we needed from our hectic schedules in Manila. The cruise also gave us the chance to visit several Asian cities yet we had to unpack our things only once!
Tina Maristela-Ocampo: Learning more about people and culture. Enjoying the scenery and the beautiful mountains as we cruised Halong Bay in Vietnam. Having a French-speaking Vietnamese tour guide with a sense of humor. And playing games on the "sex bomb" night on board SuperStar Leo.
Ricco Ocampo: The idea that a highly diversified group of people could get stuck with each other for three days and become a family.
Betina Ocampo: I enjoyed the chicken rice at the Holiday Inn in China the best! Hanging out with Tita Leah (Puyat) and Tito Keren (Pascual) was really fun.
Selina Ocampo: Meeting new friends excited me most, especially Tita Leah and Tita Trisha (Cu-Unjieng). Bumming around at the ice cream parlor and at the arcade, of course! And, Tita Tessas fashion statement was amazing!
Marc Nelson: The best part of the cruise? The people who went an extremely fun group to spend time with on a great ship!
Anton San Diego: Having 70 personalities, all with different attitudes, quirks and characters and not one of them wanting to jump ship. That must mean they all had a great time.
Liza Ilarde: Being on that ship was like being inside a big hotel. The only difference was that you couldnt leave you were trapped. So if you needed some solitude, you could go up on the far corner of a deck or sit outside on your bedroom balcony, and just watch the waves go by. The best part was early Tuesday morning, as we were approaching Halong Bay, Vietnam. I sat on that balcony as we cruised past the islands. Just sitting there, appreciating nature, and breathing the fresh air, it suddenly occurred to me why I was on this trip: to experience THIS.
Maurice Arcache: First and foremost, I got to make super friends with other people whom I had just met. Then, there was this excitement of going to a place like Hainan Island in China and Halong Bay in Vietnam, which was a first for me. And naturellement, traveling on the SuperStar Leo of Star Cruises was way beyond my expectations. A fantastic way to travel without a doubt, on a ship that has everything one may need for a perfect dream vacation.
Ana Kalaw: Haggling with tinderas who dont speak English and still ending up with great bargains (I hope); getting our fill of soya milk, thanks to the generous "free credit" given to Star Cruises passengers; buying those cone-shaped Vietnamese hats in typical tourist fashion.
Dyan Castillejo: The ship and its facilities were world-class. Rooms were comfortable, food was excellent and overflowing, sports facilities complete! The group that went was so much fun! We were laughing non-stop! The trip was well-organized and the places Keren Pascual arranged for us to visit in China and Vietnam each had its distinct charm. It was one of the most enjoyable trips Ive had.
Beng Dee: The best thing about a cruise is that it enables you to hold hostage for three days the people you love most your husband and your children. The bonding is terrific.
Rikki Dee: The cuisine in SuperStar Leos many restaurants, especially at the 24-hour cafe which serves delicious food just like Singapores hawkers food but with a better ambiance. The amenities on the ship are five-star.
Ernest Escaler: Getting to know all the fun, crazy people. Nice, real people. Meron bang Part 3?
