Today is Social Media Day!
MANILA, Philippines - Today, Supreme joins the country — and the world — in celebrating Social Media Day. Tweet us @PhilStarSUPREME and tell us how excited you are to be commemorating something you do on a daily basis. On a related note, we hereby declare that tomorrow is Water Drinking Day.
Anyway, here are a few facts: Over 27 million Filipinos are on Facebook, and from 2008, we’ve actually led the world in video and photo uploads. Because of this, our country has been called the world’s social media capital since 2010.
To celebrate this, TweetUp Manila is holding a big event from 4 - 7 p.m. today, at the Tower One Fountain Area, Ayala Triangle, on Ayala Avenue, Makati City. The gathering also launches Project 140, an effort that supports 140 scholars from the country’s poorest provinces.
