7 holiday boosts...and some aloe vera
MANILA, Philippines - Two thousand and nine is about finding inspiration. It is the time when people start to take notice of the law of attraction. “You attract what you think,” as new thought movements like The Secret would put it. After two fatal natural disasters, a tragic massacre, and a whopping announcement of eight presidential candidates in the 2010 elections, we have managed to stick with positivism. Health-consciousness, for instance, continues to balloon and germinate as the economy gets tougher and as the cheaper medicines law remains to be just a concept. And as we approach the excitingly unavoidable holidays, Pinoys are finding more inspiration in maintaining health and in improving lives. Just recently, we even found new holiday boosts at the launch of Alo Youth aloe vera drink, headed by RFM Corporation’s head honcho Joey Concepcion III.
1. Find new definitions. Biz maverick Joey Concepcion III is also known for his advocacy Go Negosyo, which brings entrepreneurship to the grassroots. The non-profit organization has redefined business by turning it into a movement that empowers the ordinary Juan with financial optimism and confidence.
2. There’s always a new discovery. RFM’s new baby, Alo Youth, on the other hand, is a drink that rediscovers the aloe vera. The fruit-flavored drink with just the right amount of tang (and real aloe vera bits) is a simple, healthy option for the young-spirited. And no, you cannot apply it on your hair!
3. Search for new skills. At the launch, Alo Youth, the perfect 10 drink, screamed “alternative” as it showcased the contemporary charm of yoga, belly-dancing, and pole-dancing.
4. “Don’t stop believing.” Of course, cager, TV host, and Alo Youth endorser Chris Tiu was there at the event. Chris obviously represents a generation of passionate dreamers.
5. Stay real. Finding inspiration starts when you know who you are. When we saw Camille Villar, another endorser at the launch, we loved how she grew up to be. Everyone must learn from her humility. Eat a slice of the humble pie.
6. Perfection is part of the motivation. Success and fulfillment are on everyone’s minds these days. And when we see triumphant individuals such as Tessa Prieto-Valdes and Tim Yap, who served as the guides for the evening, our motivations soar.
7. Forever young. As Alo Youth puts it, it is an elixir of youth. And this generation shares the aloe vera drink’s desire for a youthful body and soul.
