All creatures big and small
MANILA, Philippines – Tiny hands joined together with those of nature’s very own caretaker, WWF, to celebrate Mother Earth and all creatures Big&Small. Realizing that the future of the Philippines lies in these little hands — what with 35 percent of Filipinos barely hitting puberty and all — and that they may not even have a country to build a future for — at the rate we’re heating things up — Big&Small Co. decided to say it with a T-shirt.
In response to the very adult problems of climate change, environmental destruction, and loss of wildlife, Big&Small Co., in partnership with WWF-Philippines, has created a line of Earth-lovin’ tees that teach kids how to think and live green. Before they grow up and repeat the mistakes of their parents.
‘Course, the company hasn’t forgotten about the big ’uns, too. “We see this partnership as a way for us to communicate to moms that we can teach our kids at an early age the importance of caring for our environment,” shares Joanna Duarte, president of Big&Small Company. And maybe Mommy will think about going down a carbon size or two herself.
And Big&Small Co. teaches another thing to kids: to practice what you preach. Aside from cute and fuzzy T-shirt graphics, the company has also enlisted the help of WWF to measure its own eco footprint and ensure its operations are clean and green.
Now, wouldn’t that make Mother(Earth) proud.
