MANILA, Philippines - Higher learning came to Efren Peñaflorida in high school.
While other kids were hazing their way into gangs, Efren was initiating slum children into the means to a better life—education. The ends have been fruitful, with diplomas for all the happy n’ hopeful kids, and a guest spot on Larry King Live for the 27-year-old Efren.
We salute Supreme being Efren Peñaflorida for teaching us all the true meaning of fraternity.
