I resolve... to make my own playlist: Press it, play it

MANILA, Philippines - When Madge tossed up the anthem of “music makes the people come together” for that aptly titled song, uh, Music, she may have just as well been describing Nokia’s 5800 Xpressmusic. What sounds about right for a music phone that can do no wrong is more memory, loud and powerful speakers, easy synchronization, and of course, a device that still packs in a seamless way to round up your contacts and communicate. It is a music phone, after all.

“With the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, we set out to connect people through the one thing we all feel a universal connection to—music,” said William Hamilton-Whyte, general manager of Nokia Philippines. “The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic gives people the freedom to experience music they love in the way they prefer.”

Touch and Go with the Flow

For the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, touch screen technology is utilized as effortlessly as pressing play. Especially with the phone’s Media Bar, a drop down menu that provides a finger’s tap (pen stylus and rock-steady plectrum also come with it) to music, entertainment — be it favorite tracks, videos, and photos — and the Web for simple sharing with your friends via Share on Ovi, Facebook, MySpace and YouTube. And whatever you snap or shoot with that 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens can be shared on those same online communities with a single touch. Music playlist song titles can also be shared online, through Bluetooth, or MMS. How’s that for coming together, right now, over one device?
