Grand Festival of Lights at SM Mall of Asia
The countdown to Christmas has been everything grand and spectacular at the SM Mall of Asia.
The past few weekend evenings dazzled with the grand festival of lights as lighted floats glowed while parading along San Miguel By the Bay. The audience was awed as the floats from the SM Department Store, Unilever-SM Hypermarket, Kultura Filipino, Watsons, Ace Hardware, Toy Kingdom, Leisure Center, Inc., Kidz Republic, and the SM Mall of Asia passed by.
Equally fascinating were the street scenes — Santa and the elves welcoming the children during the parade; fairies filling the streets with their enchantment, a Marilyn Monroe look-alike waving to fans, and the marching band delighting the crowd with their music and lighted costumes.
The SM Mall of Asia’s float also treated the crowd to scenes from the musical play Christmas-Sea Adventure, a story of sea creatures of Atlantica.
One of the best musical shows ever produced with a seascape setup and performed by Trumpets, the cast was splendid and the energy was high on and off the stage. The crowd cheered and laughed with the sea creatures in their spectacular costumes as they sang and danced to the tune of Boogie Wonderland.
