Close to 40 delicious flavors of FIC ice cream … How do you get to taste them all? It’s easy if you visit The Ice Cream Bar any Thursday this December. The Ice Cream Bar’s Buffet Thursdays have been running all Thursdays of this month, in a fun-filled party atmosphere from 3 p.m. to 12 midnight. It’s The Ice Cream Bar’s treat for December, giving customers a chance to try all the other FIC flavors. Yes, you can try all 15 featured flavors of the week in unlimited scoops, fun toppings, and luscious homemade syrups! Lite flavors and sugar-free flavors will also be available.
The sinful idea of Buffet Thursdays gives diners a chance to make their own combinations of flavors and concoctions in an enjoyable all-day, eat-all-you-can experience. Bestselling flavors like tsokolate, strawberry, and vanilla are mainstays, while the rest of the flavors revolve weekly to give customers the opportunity to taste new flavors the following week. In addition to crowd favorites like caramello con pastillas, pistachio, and Raspberry Rapture, how many can say they’ve tried other flavors like durian, black sesame or apple pie?
Even during the holidays and temperature drops, ice cream is actually still a comforting (and body-warming!) dessert.
The Ice Cream Bar, a hip new destination at Joya Tower in Rockwell Center, is open from 12 noon to 12 midnight from Sundays to Thursdays; and until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Brought to you by the country’s best local producer of world-class ice cream, FIC (Fruits in Ice Cream), The Ice Cream Bar offers luscious banana splits, towering parfaits, extra thick malted milkshakes, and other cold treats that await the comfort-food-seeker in a casual and cozy setting. Passers-by as well as frequent visitors to the Rockwell area have been drawn to the new hangout, conveniently located near the mall, yet pleasantly away from the crowds.
The little white-walled shop features playful touches designed to highlight the dining experience. The interiors include bright orange mosaic tiles, huge orange hanging lamps, and red Philippe Starck for Kartell stools that all serve as delicious eye candy.
”We wanted to create a welcoming place where people can enjoy eating ice cream together, and have yummy comfort food to go with it. It’s a place where people can relax after malling, reward themselves after a long day at work, or just get together with family and friends,” says Yoli. “We think ice cream is most fun in good company.”
