Be for giving

It’s time to give back. Time to set aside differences and unload excess baggage. Time for sharing and time for giving.

That’s exactly what former sweethearts Dingdong Dantes and Karylle Tatlonghari did to start of their Christmas countdown. “It has been a tradition for the two of us to do this every year for kids afflicted with cancer,” Karylle told Supreme. “We are very touched with all the support, each year this becomes bigger,” Dingdong told us as he spoke to the kids gathered that afternoon at Timezone. Lorenz Manalang of L Time Studio, a good friend of the former couple was behind the event, which brought out celebrity ates and kuyas who took time out to be with kids from Child House having a field day and feeling the Christmas spirit.

DJ Benjo Marquez talked about his bout with cancer and how his faith in God saved his life. It was a great experience seeing Benjo celebrate his new life with these kids who were filled with so much hope. Later on, Lorenz, along with Karylle and Dingdong presented a check for the Kapuso Foundation. And in the course of giving, everyone reaches a higher state of living—so be for giving. — Tim Yap
