Some of the top luxury brands that will find even more elegant spaces in the renovated Greenbelt 3 and 4 by 2020 and 2021

A new level of luxury shopping will unfold in Makati as the Ayala Land Malls Inc. presents a totally refreshed Greenbelt 3 and 4 Malls next year.

Greenbelt 3 will morph to become an expanded high-end area virtually extending its corridor, as if in a continuum, to join Greenbelt 4, which currently houses top luxury brands.

The progressive changes are spearheaded by Ayala Land Malls Inc.,  which is a real estate subsidiary of Ayala Land, an affiliate of Ayala Corporation. Greenbelt Mall opened in 1988 as one of Ayala’s flagship projects.

Spearheading details on changes is Mariana Zobel, deputy head of Ayala Land Malls Inc. At the helm of the project are Jennylle Tupaz, president of Ayala Land Malls Inc., with Joseph Reyes, VP for Ayala Land Malls Inc.

Architect Anton J. “Tonichi” Mendoza is expected to give an elegant new look for Greenbelt 3 and 4.

The entrance to Greenbelt 3, which faces New World Hotel, will have a bigger Louis Vuitton (where an Italian shop used to be) while on the left will be Dior (where Lacoste was). There will be  other brands under the LVMH Group.

The other shops currently in the list for Greenbelt 3 are Fendi, Loewe, Patek Philippe, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jimmy Choo, Tod’s, Ermenegildo Zegna, Chloe, Escada, Hermès and its expansion, Roger Vivier, Kenzo, Rimowa, Bulgari, Celine, Y-3, Palm Angels, Heron Preston and Thom Browne/Univers.

Greenbelt 3 is expected to reopen in October 2020.

Except for Starbucks, which will become a Starbucks Reserve, no changes are yet in the offing for the restaurants in Greenbelt 3 such as People’s Palace, Sala Bistro, Cafe Breton, Havana and Cerveseria.

Greenbelt 4, which has been the home of top luxury brands for decades, will have Prada, Gucci, Burberry, Bottega Veneta, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Cartier and Balenciaga. Tiffany & Co. is set to inaugurate its Greenbelt shop on July 12.

After Greenbelt 3 reopens, Greenbelt 4 likewise will be renovated and is scheduled to reopen by the second quarter of 2021. The renovation of Glorietta is next on the drawing board.

The new Greenbelt 3 and 4 will surely boost the Philippines’ tourism potential as a luxury shopping destination in Asia.
