Mom’s the word at SM Malls

Some of Manila’s loveliest moms share their Mother’s Day celebration plans and gift list.

Mother’s Day is always a very special day in our family. We celebrate with my mom, my siblings, and their families. We always have a meal together at one of our favorite restaurants. That would either be Tim Ho Wan or Little Flour in SM Megamall, or The Food Hall in SM Aura. And right after, because according to my children, they never know what to get me, we will go around the mall and I get to choose my own gift in either Uniqlo, My Home, or Power Books.

If any of my kids are reading this, I would love to receive bamboo drawer organizer trays from My Home for my accessories and knickknacks, they’re pretty, practical and sustainable.

Our family loves to cook or bake and eat together. An ideal Mother’s Day celebration would be all of us in the kitchen trying a new recipe with our new kitchen toy or setting up the table with cute plates and tablescapes from Crate and Barrel to celebrate the occasion.

As a mom and a homemaker, I love everything from Crate and Barrel! I could spend a whole day there browsing through their home decor, furniture, flatware, and kitchenware! My kids know that my ideal Mother’s Day gift would be something that I could add to my kitchen, living room or dining room.

I would really enjoy a shopping spree at Zara, H&M, Uniqlo, Crate and Barrel and The SM Store! SM Malls have a wide selection of shops and restaurants so spending a day with an unlimited budget would truly make me the happiest mother on Mother’s Day!

For this Mother’s Day, time is always the best gift. S Maison is an ideal family date spot for me and my girls because besides dining at good restaurants, there’s the Dessert Museum, and a great cinema to relax and indulge in. SM Aura also is one of our favorite hangouts for unique restaurant experiences (Providore) and the Sky Park. Both malls are near our home.

I would love to get a nice sofa and accent chairs from SM Home because I love the way you can get everything under one roof and redo a roo in a day! Or gift certificates that I can hold on to so I can decide on my own to buy what I want when I need it. I sometimes just love walking around SM Southmall because it allows me to de-stress and get ideas for my home. The new Prestige Lounge is also a plus!

What we love to do is let each one go to their favorite shops and then we meet up again to enjoy coffee and dessert together. And who knows, if we’re fortunate and there’s a good movie, it would be nice to end the day, popcorn bag in hand and watching one! SM has everything under one roof so for me as a wife, mom and career woman, it simplifies my life and I get to enjoy and relax at the same time. What more can I ask?
