Love forever: Eduque Jarque and Arisa Onozawa
Arisa Onozawa and Eduque Jarque fell in love 10 years ago while both were students in Manila pursuing their college degrees. Eduque at the University of Asia and the Pacific and Arisa at the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
Having built their own careers, the couple decided to seal their love at the breezy hideaway Lio Beach in El Nido, Palawan, the ideal setting for an enviable summer-style beach wedding.

Eduque, dashing in a finely embroidered barong tagalog by Dino Lloren, walked arm-in-arm con mucho cariño toward the makeshift altar with proud dad Ramon. After the entire entourage composed of close relatives and supportive friends made their way to their assigned seats, Arisa appeared ravishingly radiant in a Japanese- inspired off-shoulder gown created by Vania Romoff. Being half-Japanese, Arisa wished to intergrate her father Toshi Onozawa’s heritage by merging part of her mom Joy’s intricate kimono for her bridal train.
The pair exchanged their vows just in the nick of time for the golden sunset while the tranquility of the sea provided a perfect photo backdrop.

Cocktails were immediately served at the beautifully landscaped gardens, transformed into a magical fairyland with numerous muted lights on decades old trees and votive candles that reflected a romantic glow.
Before dinner was served, the bride and groom took to the floor to dance. The highlights of this enchanted evening were the heartwarming speeches by dear friends who narrated their love story peppered with unforgettable and funny memories that brought touching thoughts and lots of laughter.

It was also a bittersweet emotional moment when Eduque and his eldest sister Marge paid homage to their mom Lisa who had passed on not too long ago. Reminiscing about her unconditional love, they were consoled and inspired by the notion that she is alive in their hearts. A moment of silence was offered for her eternal peace.
