L’Occitane heads to Arles for inspiration

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Provence-based L’Occitane recently launched Arlésienne, a fragrance inspired by the distinctly feminine silhouette of a woman from the South of France. The town of Arles, famous for artists such as Van Gogh, Picasso, Mistral and Bizet  who painted their works there, spurred the creation of this collection. As such its range inspires creativity.

The Arlésienne fragrance has head notes bursting with joie de vivre — radiant and precious, the saffron flower in full bloom introduces its sensual, peppery and spicy notes. Mandarin orange adds a bold touch of sparkle. Elegant and difficult to subdue, the Grasse rose at the heart of the scent is enhanced by a few sprigs of lily of the valley. Sandalwood lends a milky note to the base, while violet goes slightly astray, settling into enveloping, sensorial white wood. This impression of restrained sensuality is beautifully echoed by tonka bean.

This is the base for the range of Arlésienne, which goes back to the heart and soul of Provence.
