MANILA, Philippines - Any fan of shopping would get a kick out of this –– Ayala Malls Style Origin 2013 brings back Style Souk, an event that puts fashion, beauty, shopping and style in focus. Inspired by the souks of the Middle East that fill the streets with exotic finds, Style Origin 2013's Style Souk takes retail and designer brands out of their boutiques and out in the open to give shoppers the unique experience of browsing through designer deals, makeup and even books, at fantastic discounts

 This year's Style Origin is all about "Inspiring Imagination" –– Style Souk, as Style Origin's shopping component, inspires shoppers to embrace a life of style through a selection of fashion and beauty finds.

The first of this year’s series of Style Souks officially opened last May 2, at The Gallery in Greenbelt 5, featuring pop up stores from fashion labels like 7 For All Mankind, Charina Sarte, Jun Escario, Religioso, Bonne Bouche, Bayo, Bleach Catastrophe, Segnatempo, Bratpack, XOXO, as well as brands for little ones like Big & Small Company, Orange Juice, Spin, Chicco, and Gingersnaps, among others. Greenbelt Style Souk also featured live DJ performances and cocktails, while other special attractions include a special edition of Greenbelt’s Movies at the Park that showed fashion flicks Zoolander and Clueless, a Style Mob –– live mannequins parading the latest trends in fashion, and Style Souk mannequin vignettes inspired by the different Style Origin personalities. For the Greenbelt Style Souk, Cary Santiago’s quote “Beauty is an idea” inspired the mannequin display.

A digital component to Style Souk was also introduced this year. Ayala Malls’ deals site, A-Deals.com, offered a Style Souk collection wherein finds from the Greenbelt Style Souk were offered for pre-selling via A-Deals.com, from brands like Nixon, The Body Shop and Benefit Cosmetics.

The second installment of Style Souk took place at the TriNoma Cinema Lobby last May 9 to 11, this time featuring brands like Naturalizer, Sanuk, Skechers, Suesh, The Ramp, Tomato, Silverfinds, Regalong Pambahay, Simplejoys, Egg, Jellybean, Team Manila, Crumpler, Freeway, Ensembles, Solo, Cushe, Hush Puppies, Banana Peel, Bayo, Collezione C2, Nautica, Leaveland and Wade, as well as brands that returned from Greenbelt like XOXO, Benefit, Shiseido and The Body Shop.
