Paula Lynn Yap wears Danilo Franco at Flores de Mayo
MANILA, Philippines - Paula Lynn Yap, 16, a freshman European Studies student at the Dela La Salle University, will be a sagala in the traditional and annual Flores De Mayo organized by the Congregacion del Santissimo Nombre del Niño Jesus (this year as a tribute to its founder Mang Ben Farrales) on May 5, 5 p.m. at the Mall of Asia complex. Paula will wear a Danilo Franco slinky silhouette of a terno enhanced by the extended panels on the familiar butterfly sleeves and train. Consistent with this year’s theme “Colors of Mindanao,†traditional Maranao malong patterns which are produced on the back-strap loom are interpreted on sheer net with beadwork. She will be escorted by Diego Loyzaga.
