Lifestyle Asia launches Home & Away book at Raffles Makati

MANILA, Philippines - LifestyleAsia recently launched its limited edition coffee table book, Home&Away, at the Writer’s Bar of Raffles Makati .

Home&Away is a collection of  private spaces in the Philippines and different parts of the world that are not mere showcases. These capture the personalities of the persons who live there and project distinctive nuances that make each dwelling place unique.

The event gathered together noted names in business, diplomatic, civic and social circles who became the first to try the Makati Luxury Sling, the hotel’s signature drink. 

LifestyleAsia editor in chief Anna Sobrepeña, and associate publisher and deputy editor Cheryl Tiu personally welcomed guests to the luxury magazine’s first event of the year. World class artists Dr. Raul Sunico and Carnegie Hall singer Stephanie Reese performed after the unveiling of the collectible. Uniformed personnel, bearing browsing copies on pieces of furniture, came out in formation to give everyone a chance to look through the hard bound edition. Specially created hors d’oeurves which included foie gras crème brûlée, roast Peking duck and vegetable roll, and almond crusted cheese log, were passed around, as Billecart Salmon Brut Reserve champagne, Colombelle wines and signature cocktails flowed freely throughout the night, providing a sampling of the cuisine at Raffles Makati.

Home & Away retails for P850 and is available in select bookstores and newsstands in Metro Manila.
