Get set for the biggest Christmas bazaar

MANILA, Philippines - Now in its 21st year, the St. James the Great Christmas Bazaar will be held on Nov. 30, Dec. 1 and 2, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Cuenca Community Center and St. James parking lot, Ayala Alabang Village.

Touted as the biggest bazaar in the south of Manila with more than 500 concessionaires, St. James the Great Christmas Bazaar showcases a wide variety of products including edible gift items, Christmas and home décor, wrought iron, native and imported bags, toys, shoes, ethnic products and handicrafts, Christmas packaging and wrappers, decorative candles, paintings, silver jewelry, export over-runs for men, ladies and children, accessories and sculptures. The products come from manufacturers, exporters, importers and traders from Cebu, Boracay, Romblon, Bicol, Iloilo, Baguio, Pampanga, Quezon, Bulacan, Laguna and Batangas.

The Food Pavilion has the participation of Las Paellas, Tapa King, Brothers Burger, Fish & Co., Army Navy, Amici, Ineng’s Special Bbq, Ellies Roasted Calf, Coolman Halo-Halo, Taters, Odd Balls, Cheesesteak Shop, Potato Corner, Coca-Cola and Viva Water, among others. Bibingkinitan is a sponsor.

Proceeds of the bazaar will be for the benefit of St. James Foundations. Through the years, 100 percent of the proceeds of the bazaar have helped in the construction of St. James the Great Parish Church, purchase of its parking lot, the installation of the air-conditioning system of the church, the building of St. James Parish Rectory Annex for the use of the parish priest and the St. James employees quarters, and the repair and maintenance of all parish structures.

Highlight of the bazaar will be a grand raffle draw. Lucky winners will take home TVs, DVD players, microwave ovens and other valuable items.

The chairpersons for this event are Mimi and Nikki Valerio. Committee members are St. James Foundation president Manny Gonzales, Edza Gonzales, Titang Montinola, and parish priest Msgr. Albert Venus.

All MasterCard and Visa credit cards will be accepted. ATM machines and mobile ATM will be available to service the shoppers. Free shuttle service will be provided for all shoppers from the bazaar venue to their parked cars.
