The Sulo Riviera: QC's chic landmark hotel
MANILA, Philippines - The newly reinvented Sulo Riviera is now one of the most chic hotels in the metropolis. This boutique hotel like no other shines like a refreshingly modern landmark in Quezon City.
With the new ownership led by executive director Cristina Cuevas, Sulo Riviera had its grand relaunch last Dec. 3 together with the birthday of the Cuevas family patriarch Ambassador Felimon Cuevas. Guests were treated to The Sulo Riviera’s offerings of sumptuous food, great music, excellent service and modish ambience.
Fire breathers and pole dancers welcomed guests at the driveway together with the hotel’s hospitable staff. Sulo’s cozy Divino Lounge offered guests an urbane yet cozy ambience while other guests chose to stay by the pool with chill-out music at the Aqua Lounge.
The evening’s highlight was the ceremonial toast led by former President Joseph Estrada who congratulated the Cuevas family for the success of the reinvented hotel. He was joined by Vice President Jejomar Binay, Miss World 2011 1st Princess Gwendoline Ruais, and Ching Cruz, alongside Cristina Cuevas and her father Felimon Cuevas.
Joining the celebration were Senators Loi Ejercito and Jinggoy Estrada, Congressmen Roman Romulo, Valenzuela Councilor Shalani Soledad, Abet Garcia, Governor Tet Garcia, Governor L-Ray Villafuerte and his wife Lara. Showbiz stars Enchong Dee, Joseph Marco, Albert Martinez and Phoemela Baranda joined fashion celebrities Inno Sotto, Paul Cabral, JC Buendia, Joey Samson, Ivar Aseron, TC Alvarez, and Natori creative director Ian Giron, photographer Sara Black, and model/photographer Jo Ann Bitagcol.
Celebrity doctor Vicki Belo enjoyed the music in the ballroom with guests from the business world Philip Cruz,Jack Tuazon, Eddie and Merle Pineda with children Eman and Jaime, Fe Rodriguez, Therese Santos, Maritel Nievera, Rikki and Beng Dee,Ruby Roa,Agnes Huibonhoa and Mike Toledo.
Sports celebs were led by Paolo Trillo with model-wife Rissa , William Antonio, RJ Rizada, Sean Anthony and Chris Banchero.
The new Sulo Riviera has 71 superior deluxe rooms and suites. Each room boasts modern interiors accentuated with works by Asian artists, forming a contemporary design.
