What's on your Christmas wish list?
It’s only 15 days before Christmas but never too late for a wish list! If we are blessed to receive what we wish for this holiday season, be grateful, but if we don’t there is always next year! There is nothing wrong in wishing for gifts but let us also not forget that Christmas is celebrating the birth of our savior Jesus Christ who is the real reason of this special season.

This year, I’ve narrowed down my Christmas wish list to five things. So if you are my mother, father or boyfriend I hope you get to read this today: 1) Gift checks from National Book Store or Fully Booked; 2) A brand new sewing machine; 3) Hermes Kelly Double Tour leather bracelet; 4) Summer holiday to India; 5) Emerald-cut diamond stud earrings
Dr. Hayden Kho Jr., entrepreneur
I’d like continued progress for the Philippines, of course. And for myself, enlightenment. I pray I can perceive things the way God wants me to. This kind of discernment can only come with constant reflection and self-awareness. And I feel this is how I can serve Him, and others, best.
Dr Jovencio R. Cuanang, SVP and CMO, St. Luke’s Medical Center
For this season I wish for the government to harmonize their efforts to allow the innate talent of every Filipino to be nurtured so that everyone will contribute to nation building. I also wish everyone to be more conscious about “wellness” so that people will continue to be in the best of health. I wish everyone will realize the dangers of tobacco, excessive alcohol, and a sedentary lifestyle among others. My personal wish is to live longer so I can “consume” all the beauty and goodness that surround us!
Elbert Cuenca, restaurateur
On my Christmas wish list is peace, love and happiness to all, and a BMW 1M for me.
Karen Fabie Concepcion, equestrianne, painter
It’s that time of year again when we are all rushing off to buy gifts for friends and loved ones, attending office Christmas parties and endless dinners. But what defines the Filipino Christmas from all others is the family. What would be on top of my Christmas wish list is a hope that all families would take this opportunity to strengthen relationships and to show even more love to one another. It is a time for gratitude and love. Next on my wish list would be continued good health and happiness, and possibly… a trip to Paris with Ton!
Luigi Boy Muhlach, chef
I want two round-trip tickets to Japan!
Max Eigenmann, actress
I wouldn’t mind bagging a pair of Melissa stilettos by Jean Paul Gaultier in lemon yellow! Or perhaps even those fab Camilla Skovgaard high-heeled booties with ridged rubber soles in black! They would be lovely additions to my not-so-guilty pleasure of collecting shoes.
Audrey Zubiri, civic worker
I can’t think of Christmas without thinking of family. Because of this, my Christmas wish is that every Filipino family be complete in celebrating the birth of our Savior and be able to enjoy this season of love with the ones they love the most. As for my family, now that our daughter is learning how to bike, I am on the lookout for a nice bike for her, as well as for Migs and myself (with a seat for our one-year-old son) for some family fun time in the year to come!
