They've got style
MANILA, Philippines - Now in its 12th year, the Manila’s Best Dressed (MBD) will hold the Gala Awards Dinner on Nov. 21 at the Grand Ballroom of Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City.
MBD Woman of Style for 2010 Olga Severino Martel is this year’s honorary chairperson, while Rep. Imelda Romualdez Marcos is the association’s adviser. Karr Marin is MBD chairman.
Distinguished men and women will be recognized for their distinctive style and elegance. The awarding ceremonies will be preceded by a fashion show featuring the awardees in elegant gowns and dapper suits.
Making it to the Women’s Best Dressed list for 2011 are Consul of Gambia Agnes Huibonhoa, Marivic Madrigal Vazquez, Katrina Ponce Enrile, Dr. Aivee Aguilar Teo, Rep. Fatima Aliah Dimaporo, Rep. Linabelle Ruth Villarica, Baby de Jesus, Pitang Tiongson, Kim Lokin, Marichelle Torres and Rema Ohno.
Male awardees are George Yang, Atty. Jose Mari Treñas, Dr. Z Chen Teo, Noel Gonzales, and David Ackerman.
Special awards will begiven to Virginia Lane as “Woman of Style” and Babe Romualdez as “Man of Style.”
This annual project will benefit the Zonta Club of Makati and Environs BayaniJuan sa Calauan project, which provides shelter for relocated informal settlers from the Estero de Paco and MBD scholars at the Romblon State University.
