Mixing foreign service with public service

-

MANILA, Philippines -  The Consulate of Gambia headed by Consul Agnes T. Huibonhoa mixed foreign service with public service when it conducted  a medical mission that benefited some 600 Taguig indigents.

A joint undertaking with Taguig Rep. Freddie Tinga and his wife Kaye Tinga, the mission organized a pool of doctors to handle medical examinations and treatments. The Consulate of Gambia obtained a donation of medicines from United Laboratories (Unilab) and completed the service to underprivileged families, who were affected by the recent typhoons and floods, by giving blankets, noodles, milk and canned goods.

Rep. Tinga awarded Consul Huibonhoa and Carol Llanillo, president of Zonta Club, a plaque recognizing their unwavering support towards humanitarian causes via providing access to health services through medical missions.
