The Inner Wheel Club is women’s organization dedicated to promoting true friendship, encouraging the ideals of personal service, and fostering international understanding.
Closely linked to the Rotary Club, the Inner Wheel began on Jan. 10, 1924 when Margarette Golding presided over a club formed of Rotarian wives. From that initial meeting, the international roots of the club were established in 1934 when the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in Great Britain and Ireland were formed. Today, Inner Wheel can be found in all parts of the globe including Europe, Asia, Africa, Australasia, and the Americas.
When asked what is her biggest accomplishment, Ledesma says she takes most pride in her family. She is married to Consul Rene L. Ledesma of Bulgaria to the Philippines with whom she has three children: TV host and STAR columnist RJ Ledesma and wife Vanessa, educator Rina Ledesma-Villalon and husband Simon, music producer Rico and wife Sheila; and grandchildren Fortune, Ada, Tea, and Gusto.
