Summertime with Joseph & Jessy
MANILA, Philippines - Jessy Mendiola and Joseph Marco are having the perfect summer of their lives. The stars of the top-rating ABS-CBN soap Sabel are taking their sweet time off work to revitalize and have fun under the sun. “I love summer and how everyone’s so carefree and happy. Usually, my family, friends and I set this time of the year to go to the beach for four to five days to just relax and unwind. It’s always a memorable experience for all of us,” says Jessy.
Joseph, who just got back from a vacation from Europe, shares his excitement: “It was invigorating! I enjoyed my time there so much. Now I’m planning a trip with my family. I just want to spend time with them before I get on the crazy-sched train again. Life should always roll that way- a good balance of work and play,” says the hunk actor.

Aside from being regularly seen in Sunday variety show, ASAP Rocks, Joseph and Jessy were also recently signed by renowned watchmaker, Timex. The two had the chance to bond and get to know each other as friends during the taping of Sabel, the reason why they’re both thrilled to be working together in this new project. “Jessy always has the right words to say, very positive attitude. She made me feel comfortable on the set, I’m grateful for having known her,” Joseph says. Paired off to kickstart Timex’s summer collection, the onscreen tandem recently met with the Timex brand team during its campaign shoot with master lensman Mark Nicdao. Gemma Pagsibigan, marketing director of Timex believes they found the perfect pair to represent its hip time-trackers. “We think Jessy and Joseph embody the very spirit of Timex as a brand. They’re very likeable, young, fashionable, dynamic and wouldn’t compromise having the best quality products out there.
