Gantimpala Theater holds summer drama workshop
MANILA, Philippines - Gantimpala Theater will hold its 34th Summer Drama Workshop on April 25.
Learn basic acting and acting for musical theater within 20 sessions plus a culminating recital slated on May 28.
In basic acting, participants will study practical application of stage acting with lectures and actual exercises on concentration, spontaneity, improvisation, confidence, body and voice preparation, eight basic efforts, characterization and script analysis.
In acting for musical theater, they will gain knowledge about creative drama, music, voice and dance exercises that will help participants to perform in a musical production.
Main facilitator is Roeder Camañag. Classes will be held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 1 to 5p.m. It is open for teens and young adults.
Tuition fee is P5,000. Interested parties must bring a 2x2 close-up photo. Enrollment starts on March 21.
Gantimpala Theater is at the 2nd floor, Open-Air Auditorium Building, Rizal Park.
