Styling the iPhone 4 scene with Globe

Top postpaid brand Globe recently hosted an exclusive launch of the most coveted handheld phone this season. The iPhone 4 cults dashed to the New World Hotel and the Makati Shangri-la (mind you, literally and figuratively!) to have their first hand experience of the iconic mobile device. This privilege was given to the first customers who registered online at the Globe website. Not only did they get first crack at the iPhone 4, they got an absolutely hassle-free experience since Globe arranged the whole deal with them in advance, through phone calls and texts to invite them to the event.

Everyone was welcomed with breakfast canapés and an abundance of coffee and other drinks, plus a movie screening and even reading lounges where Globe customers could pass the time as their iPhones were prepped for them. It was a premium experience all the way, much-anticipated by Globe subscribers, and the iPhone fanatics came out in droves for it.

Unlike other iPhone launches we’ve seen abroad, where lines snake around street corners and some even camp out days before, Globe gave its customers a very classy, laid-back weekend affair where they could hang out in style and await their iPhones. Customers came in their most relaxed garb (ensembles complete with cushy footwear and accessories), dashing to the venues to get their hands on the hot new mobile.   The vibe was comfortable chic, very much in tune with Globe and the iPhone 4.

Tin Rodriguez

Tin dons on a D-I-Y layered top, jeans from Wrangler, shoes from Sanuk and a bag from Lulu. She describes her look as laid-back, modern Bohemian with a little bit of rock and roll. The new iPhone catches her attention. Not only does it look hot, it comes with a whole slew of Globe Super Plan services that are so practical, she can always stay in touch and make all the fashion statements she wants to all her friends.  

Jarelle Gonzales

Jarelle’s fashion philosophy is simple yet sophisticated. She likes neutral colors since they look good with everything and make it easier to mix and match her clothes. She loves the thin and sexy form of the new iPhone, which fits well into the pocket of her skinny jeans. The killer form factor thrills her. The phone is incredibly versatile and functional with lots of apps she can use for both work and play, coupled with her Globe postpaid plan that gives her all the web browsing time she could ever want.

Rani’s weekend style is comfy and rugged enough to handle her two active sons. The iPhone 4 is a great add-on, with its shiny black casing and sleek design that fits right into her bag and is easy to carry wherever she goes. With its FaceTime and great camera feature, she can share what’s happening to her friends and family, as long as she’s Super Surfing with Globe.

Marjorie De Jesus

Marjorie loves earth-toned colors so she’s in a yellow and brown top to match her shorts from Shapes. The gold slippers are from Rusty Lopez and the bag is by Egg. He likes simple casual clothes, without any fuss, because he believes the iPhone 4 transforms his style into “ awesomeness”. Camille Cua

Camille wears a dress from a boutique in Singapore, accessorized with a necklace and bag from H&M. The watch is by Valentino and sandals from Charles & Keith. Her fashion style is definitely comfy, laid back and a tad gamine. She adores the slim and handy design of the new iPhone 4, comparing it to a little pocket laptop that will give her everything she needs, including the Face Time feature that she is looking forward to trying out.

Francis Dy

Francis is the second person to get his iPhone 4 from Globe at the New World Hotel. Clad in a Lacoste golf shirt (devenlay) with Diesel Jeans and Timberland driving mocs, he lined up early to get his phone in a flash.  His watch is a Philip Stein Chrono model and the sling bag is a Tumi T-Tech. His spanking-new iPhone 4 is a cool addition to his wardrobe because no other smart phone in the market has as many accessories that he can change to match his moods or what he wants to do each day. He’s just dying to try out Face Time on WiFi, which he can use with Globe’s handy little gadget called a MyFi. He also wants to check out the phone’s HD recording, the 5 MP camera with flash, and the various apps that are sure to entertain him.

Richelle Amistad

Richelle’s vest is from People are People and her dress is from Forever 21. The accessories are from her own collections. She got her shoes on-line from trunkshow. multiply.com and she carries a bag from Celine. She finds the iPhone 4 the most stylish of all the phones out there, and she’s looking forward to trying HD video recording and the 5-mega-pixel camera with flash during trips. As long as she’s connected to a Globe plan, that should be a cinch.

Jib Alpasa

Jib’s T-shirt is from Bench and he matches it with laid- back denims from Levis , a bag by Calvin Klein and a watch from Fossil for the perfect weekend attire. After one call from Globe, he traveled all the way from Cebu to the one of the first official owners of the new iPhone 4. The sophisticated design makes the device a head-turner. The retina display just takes his breath away, while the Face Time and the camera features amaze him.

Kim Mendoza

Kim carries a Nine West bag and wears the matching shoes with a dress from Pill Clothing, accessorizing the ensemble with a watch from Guess that sums up her smart casual look. iPhone features such as the games, maps, iTunes and facebook are her favorites and find the phone very handy to keep her Globe-connected with her friends.

Ceocric Manguerra

Kyle Kerbs
