The Wolves of summer
MANILA, Philippines - Wolfgang, the masters of metal mayhem, hotwire the summer with “Wolfgang Plug & Play,” the country’s first-ever full concert to be streamed live on the Internet.
“Wolfgang Plug & Play” will explode on Saturday, May 15, at White Space, 2314 Pasong Tamo Extension, Makati, at 9 p.m. Tickets are now available at TicketWorld outlets at major National Book Stores and Robinson’s Department Stores. (Call TicketWorld at 891-9999 for more information.)
“Villains,” the band’s sixth and latest studio album, was created by exchanging music files over the Internet across three continents. It was also the first album by a major Filipino artist to be available as digital downloads prior to the release of the CD.
Wolfgang’s consistent popularity, despite a six-year hiatus, may also be traced to its online presence, which has kept the band, its members, and most importantly, its music alive, accessible and exciting to its listeners.
The live streaming of Wolfgang’s first Manila concert in 2010 is expected to bring the band’s music even closer to its legions of fans across the country, as well as the rest of the world.
Wolfgang is Basti Artadi on vocals, Manuel Legarda on guitar, Ramon Legaspi on bass and Francis Aquino on drums. “Wolfgang Plug & Play” is presented by No Fear apparel and the band’s own indie label, Semenelin Music. The concert is supported by Channel V Philippines, NU 107, UR 109.5, Jam 88.3, and other media partners.
