If you were a shoe, what kind would you be?
Our shoes say a lot about who we are. They’re a must in our lives and we have the freedom to choose whatever we feel suits us best. And for as long as it makes us happy, just go ahead and wear your choice.
Willie Revillame, TV host
I don’t want to be a shoe, gusto ko tsinelas para kumportable ako. Pag shoes naka-kulob, gusto ko presko ang pakiramdam.
Rorie O. Carlos, Town & Country fashion and beauty editor
I love heels that have outrageously romantic or whimsical details. I would definitely want to be Roger Vivier’s latest version of either the Balmoral or Rose ‘N’ Roll!
Ani de Leon, triathlete
If I were a shoe I would be an Adidas Adizero! I am a coach and an athlete and mostly spend the day in my running shoes, more than in my dress shoes anyway. What’s more, the Adizero, albeit simple, packs quite a punch in the performance department.

If I were a shoe, I’d be flats because that’s one thing my chest has never been in my whole existence.

I would have to say I’d be these brown Paul Smith lace-up wingtips that I’ve had for years. Made with aged tan leather in the classic wingtip construction, with blue contrast lacing, a bit of a pointy toe, and very intricate and colorful detailing on the inside. I’ve come to a point in my life where I realize I ain’t no spring chicken, but like that old pair that I still wear today, I’d like to think I only get better with age. Still sharp, and very well made. Classic, not in a dinosaur sort of way, but very much steeped in history and experience. Well crafted, and formal on the outside, with a bit of an edgy twist, but deep and intense on the inside, with a whole lot of sole.
Paolo Paraiso, actor/model
If I were a shoe I’d be a cross trainer because I could go anywhere, do anything and still be comfortable. I could adapt to any environment and setting, plus, it takes years for me to wear out, and I’m ever reliable. Pair me up with jeans and I’d still manage.
Rica Araneta, homemaker
I never wear flat shoes. My slippers and rubber shoes have little heels on them. I like to walk a lot when I travel and wearing rubber shoes looks too boyish for me. I finally found the best traveling shoe — Tsubo, a Japanese word that means “pressure point.” It’s uniquely designed to access the foot’s pressure points and relieve stress for the wearer. They are not only comfy, they have a two-inch heel as well! I can wear them the whole day and even run in them. I like them so much that I bought three pairs of exactly the same style.

If I were a shoe, I would be a Nike rubber shoe. I love the attitude associated with their slogan, “Just do it.” Just like their mantra, I’ve always had that same mindset. When I find something I like or want to try, I basically just do it! The most recent adventure I took on was spending a month in Mongolia in sub-freezing weather. At that time, it seemed like a perfectly normal thing for me to do and I just did it!
Lila Almario, shoe designer
Why, I would be a Gregg school shoe! I grew up wearing Gregg for 10 months or more out of a year throughout my school life. I loved wearing socks and shoes and wearing boy’s shoes, even when very short skirts were the norm for our school uniform. Sometimes I still miss wearing them and in fact I’m working on a high-heeled version in a mule!
Corey Wills, yoga enthusiast
A Havaianas Surf flip-flop, because that’s all I wear to work!
