What's the most important item in your bag?

WORDS WORTH - Mons Romulo -

More often than not, we have 101 things in our bags, women who like to carry big bags especially. We stuff our bags with our wallet, cell phone, checkbook, iPod, keys, calling cards, book, makeup, and sometimes, even a second pair of shoes. Given all these, we thought it would be interesting to ask our friends: What is the most important thing in your bag that you can’t go a day without?

Iya Villania , VJ, TV host: My cell phone! ‘Coz if anything else is missing in your bag, you easily call for help.

Ana Rocha, jewelry designer

My phone, because of the data.

Rina Go, fashion designer My makeup kit because I’m a makeup addict. I always want to try the latest of different brands. Plus, being a single mom, I don’t have time to put makeup except in the car.

Itchi Yabut, civic leader It would be my collection of family photos so I can always look at them even if  I am away from home, especially during this campaign period when I don’t have so much time with my daughters.  It is also within easy reach to show my friends and relatives how the girls have grown.  With Toro gone, Marela, Alcine and Gianna are my joy and inspiration.

Bianca Valerio, model, host, makeup artist and blogger Such a simple yet tough question! But if there’s one thing, it’s a close call between my cell phone and my wallet! Without money, what good can my phone do and vice-versa! If only they could be intertwined together then we wouldn’t be having this debate!

Ayen Munji Laurel, singer The most important item in my bag is my cell phone.  It is my way of communicating with my husband Franco and my children when I am out of town shooting a movie or taping for a TV show. I love to check on them. It gives me peace of mind to know that they are OK.  Even though I am out of the house working, I always make sure that everything is all right with my family.

Chikie R. Locsin,

markets group, KPMG Philippines My wallet, with cash and credit card, is something I can’t leave home without. Next would be my phone. Access and accessibility and being connected wherever you are a must….the mobile phone is a security blanket!

Marides Lacson Puyat That would be my lifeline to my kids and home...my BB (BlackBerrry)!  It keeps me connected wherever and whenever!

Nancy Castiglione, actress, singer The most important item in my bag would be my BlackBerry! I would not be able to leave the house without it. It keeps me in touch with all my family members in Canada who are constantly e-mailing or messaging me about my boys.
