GE marks 75th year with golf tournament
MANILA, Philippines - In celebration of its 75th year as a corporation in the Philippines, General Electronic (GE) recently hosted the 4th GE Invitational Challenge 2010 at the Sta. Elena Golf Club.
The tournament was an occasion meant to nurture conviviality between GE businesses in the Philippines and their clients.
Led by Colin Low, GE president for Philippines, Singapore and Cambodia/regional executive for Growth Initiatives, Asean, the event was participated in by GE business leaders and key GE customers, business partners and associates.
“This is one activity that all of us in GE look forward to year after year. Aside from providing us with a much-needed respite, the GE Invitational Golf Tournament is our way of showing appreciation to everyone who continues to support us and grow with us through the years. We are very pleased with the good turnout and the overall success of this year’s tournament,” enthuses Low.
The most-awaited part of the event was the raffle of exciting prizes that included two business class roundtrip international tickets to any Asian destination courtesy of Philippine Airlines; two roundtrip tickets to any Asian destination courtesy of Cebu Pacific; two gift certificates for an international buffet at Escolta Restaurant at The Peninsula Hotel Manila; as well as GE bar fridges, microwave ovens, water dispensers, cordless phones and golf travel bag, among others. Each participant was also treated to a complete golfer’s souvenir kit consisting of Nike dry-fit golf shirts, golf balls sleeves, a golf bag and a GE golf umbrella.
Proceeds from the Mulligan was turned over to GE volunteers to help fund GE’s CSR activities.
