Say hello to the Samsung Corby
MANILA, Philippines - The Samsung Corby (S3650) is slim, sleek and packs very usable features for the digitally connected young handset user. It represents a breakaway from the way full-touch phones are usually designed. Its eye-catching body design, profile and colors make this mobile phone a standout.
“The functions of the Samsung Corby are oriented to our age group. It’s really for the young and active,” shares Jai Reyes, point guard of the back-to-back champion Ateneo Blue Eagles. “I love the colors and that it has interchangeable covers gives me options. Other phones are boring compared to this.”
“The best thing about the phone is its size. No one wants a bulky phone,” says De La Salle’s energetic Joshua Webb. “It is slim, small and practical.”
The quad-band EDGE/GPRS Corby comes with 50MB of internal memory that is expandable to 8GB through a micro-SD card.
“The phone lets me express myself. I can be sporty on some days and artsy on others. And best of all, I also use it to listen to the radio or my favorite songs to relax me before games,” says Jai’s teammate Nico Salva.
Ateneo’s UAAP courtside reporter and Magic 89.9 jock Jessica Mendoza says, “I always check on my Facebook and Twitter accounts even if I’m not in the station. Aside from being connected when I’m at the station. Corby also has a dictionary which supports different languages which is unique and helpful.”
Users can update their current status and access friends’ updates and live feeds via Facebook, Twitter and MySpace through a simple Pop-up SNS from anywhere.
“The Corby is perfect. It’s touch screen and it’s smaller than most phones which is really cool. I can surf the Internet anytime during the day and check on Facebook anywhere I go,” says De La Salle star Simon Atkins.
With its two megapixel CMOS camera users can take quality photos and upload them to their favorite social networking sites with a few clicks.
“Our generation wants something we can play with, especially me. I try to check on everything from gadgets to my Facebook account and the Corby lets me do just that,” adds Joshua, a self-confessed techie.
