At Portofino, home is where the art is

- Bea Ledesma -

MANILA, Philippines – They say the best gift you can give yourself is the luxury of living well. Over at Portofino, formed by maverick developer Brittany, living well is just the start. The developers have mastered the art of the perfect home, creating communities straight out of a renaissance painting. Sun-drenched parks, tinkling fountains, cobblestone paths, light-dapped trees lining every street and sprawling streets create an atmosphere that makes even the most jaded of city folk feel at home.

Portofino has set a new standard of luxury living: stately Mediterranean homes, with its grand rustic Tuscan-inspired architecture, and beautiful landscaping look like a painting come to life.

“We feel like our communities are works of art, the intricate details are thought out and meticulously-crafted,” says Brittany COO Mil Santelices. ”The warm colors bring the community to life and the lush landscaping is distinctive and extraordinary — and nontraditional.”

Residents are encouraged to park their families at one of the amenity areas, like Monte di Portofino, where they can swim in an azure pool, done in the style of a Roman lap pool, or jog along a picturesque trail lined with flora and fauna. Function rooms at the clubhouse have played host to debuts, wedding receptions and birthday parties. A billiards hall and indoor badminton court complete the recreational facility.

Children can romp in areas designed specifically for them — like the huge interactive play pool at Parco di Portofino, the amenity area located in Portofino South. There will also be a soon-to-rise 15-hectare commercial expanse dubbed Mercato di Portofino, this will function as the community’s center. Here, residents can experience Italian living with cafes, restaurants and specialty shops designed in the traditional European style. Imagine al fresco dining, cobblestone steps and a warm, homey atmosphere. Already existing in the commercial area is Fernbrook, a sprawling monolithic structure that mimics the soaring cupolas and decadent elements of Russian architecture. Designed for weddings and special events, the dramatic structure serves as one of Portofino’s focal points, adding an element of fantasy to an already picturesque space.

“In any of our developments, we strive to give our buyers not just the house that they’ve always wanted but also a better lifestyle,” explains Santelices.

No matter which enclave of Portofino you choose to reside in, whether Portofino Heights, Portofino South and Amore at Portofino, expect scenery that’s pretty as a picture.

“You haven’t lived until you’ve lived in Portofino,” says Santelices. We couldn’t agree more.
