DIY challenges for Dad

MANILA, Philippines – Dad’s a whiz at home improvement, and he’ll certainly like to take on the challenge as Ace Hardware and Ace Builders Center, The Helpful Place, prepares exclusive events for Father’s Day.

From June 12 to 21, it will be holding different challenges to dare dads to test their skills in drilling, installing wall lights, creating bookshelves and picture frames, and win exciting prizes. Well-loved brands Black and Decker, Bosch, Omni, Yale and Stanley will be participating in cooperation with Dewalt, Eagle, Camel, Makita, Skill, and Creston.

Here’s the handy Dad’s guide to DIY challenges at selected ACE Hardware branches.

• The Omni challenge. Every P300 minimum single-receipt purchase of Omni products at Ace Hardware branches at SM Southmall, Festival Mall and Alabang Town Center from June 8 to 14 entitles one to any of the booth activities. These include the Giant Chess Puzzle, the Circuit Test Game, and the Golf Fame, which will be held on June 12 to 14.

• The Black and Decker challenge. Dads will be challenged to drill five screws into a piece of wood in under 25 seconds at the Black and Decker event on June 19 to 20 at Ace Builders in Fairview. How to join? With every Black and Decker product purchase. Elimination rounds will be from June 19 to 20, and the final round will be on June 21.

• The Bosch and Omni Challenge will heat up DIY enthusiasts up north. Every P300 purchase of Bosch or Omni products will entitle customers at the Ace Builders Centers at the SM City North EDSA Annex, SM City Pampanga, and SM City Fairview to join exciting challenges from June 19 to 21. These include the Installation of Wall Lights, the Creation of a Bookshelf, and the Creation of a Picture Frame which will be held on SM City North EDSA Annex.

• The Stanley and Yale Challenge. Every P300 purchase of Stanley and Yale products at SM City Sta. Mesa entitles one to join exciting challenges that will unlock the DIY expert in everyone. These include the Yale Ka Q&A Game, the Fast and the Furious Reversible Lever III, and the Key Master Hunter, where they will unlock two boxes with Stanley and Yale padlocks.
